Yusheng!
On the 5th day of the Lunar New Year, I went back to my office to eat celebrate with all my colleagues :)
All of us will be having this food called Yusheng (鱼生). It’s a Teochew style fish salad that the chinese eat during Chinese New Year.
It represents prosperity and it has many different type of toppings which have different meanings as shown in the picture below. :)
Interesting isn’t it?
After we are done with the toppings, everyone will mix everything together and consume it after that.
Anyway I got this bottle of bird nest from a lucky draw that day. So happy :D
At night, I went to my friend’s place for a gathering. Usually the Chinese in Singapore gamble with their friends or relatives during Lunar New Year. It’s a good chance for friends to catch up with one another too!
My friend even treat us with this great drink above. Great! :D
After sometime, me and my friends start to get a little tipsy and we sang Karaoke together like nobody business. All of us enjoyed ourselves that night, it was fun! :)
